FACULTY POSITION
REGENERATIVE/DEVELOPMENTAL BIOLOGY

Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI)

The Department of Biology (www.biology.iupui.edu) seeks a highly qualified individual for a tenure-track position at the level of ASSISTANT or ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR. Faculty rank will be determined by academic credentials and experience. The start date is flexible and may be as early as August 2008. Possible research areas include developmental regulation of regeneration; stem cell biology; intercellular signaling; cell/matrix interactions; or tissue engineering. A Ph.D. in biological science and postdoctoral experience is required. The successful candidate will be expected to have or establish an externally funded research program and demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education. IUPUI (www.iupui.edu) is the life and health science campus of Indiana University, with 29,000 students and 240 degree programs. Participation in the IUPUI Center for Regenerative Biology and Medicine (www.regen.iupui.edu) and collaboration with the School of Medicine and other IUPUI departments and schools is encouraged.

Teaching Positions at IUPUI
Full-Time Visiting and Part-Time University Teaching Positions

The Department of Biology at IUPUI is seeking highly qualified and motivated individuals for full-time visiting and part-time adjunct teaching opportunities for 2008-09.  These positions are available during a transition period where enrollment growth in the life and health sciences is on the rise.  Full-time positions could be available for up to two years and adjunct appointments may be available indefinitely depending on student demand. We are interested in individuals with backgrounds in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Human Anatomy & Physiology, and General Biology.  Teaching opportunities are available at the undergraduate and graduate levels.  A PhD degree is highly preferred for the undergraduate assignments and is required for graduate level instruction.

Applicants should s submit a letter in interest describing their teaching interests, a statement of their availability (full-time, part-time evenings only, etc.), a resume describing their background, education and relevant experiences, and the names of three references we can contact.   All materials should be sent to:
