Biology Teaching
Currently, my biology teaching responsibilities are Embryology, Human Biology, and Introductory Principles of Genetics. Although my undergraduate degree was in botany and my doctoral field was plant physiology, my post-doctoral training and research was in medical and molecular genetics, showing the importance of adaptability and diversity in biology. My triad of biology courses allows me to explore how genes and signaling factors direct both the formation of the body and how the final product works. Because I enjoy working with entering students, I have a joint appointment with University College. There I teach and assist in the development of courses to help students make the transition to college, and serve as an academic advisor.
